Product Overview
This allows you to mount a Yaesu FTM-400XDR or FTM-400XD control head to a Ram Mount. It provides a 1" ball along with the appropriate hardware to adapt the ball to the back of the display head.
Those you familiar with this unit know its not the standard ball mount thread on the back of the unit and the mount that comes in the box is really flimsy. I also don't like how the X-grip mounts work with this head. There are other mounts out there, but none as secure and clean as using a Ram Mount system.

If you've been looking for a Ram Mount solution for your FTM400, this is it. If you were to buy the parts separately elsewhere it would cost about the same. Just do yourself a favor and get this kit and be done with it. Works perfectly and was exactly what I was looking for.

Almost perfect. Just wish the ball portion was a little closer to the back of the remote display.

If you own a 100 or 400 and you use a RAM mount this is for you! Very easy to install and looks great. Highly recommend

I initially had an X-Grip and saw issues with the GPS unit in the Yaesu readings. I have this kit that makes the mounting of my Yaesu FTM-400 much cleaner and more functional. I definitely recommend this mounting solution. The RAM locks down on the Yaesu without any free spinning.

This thing is perfect. Just what I needed for a clean mount to the RAM mount system. For some reason RAM Mounts do not offer a good solution for Yaesu 400 controllers. LOOK NO FURTHER. This is it. Highly recommend.
