These OEM Magnetic Differential Plugs are designed to fit a wide range of Toyota 2WD and 4WD trucks and SUVs, featuring M18 threads (excluding 4WD IFS trucks). These hex plugs serve as durable replacements for the vulnerable diff fill and drain plugs that are prone to damage, especially off-road or when the hex head gets rounded out.
These replacement plugs not only sit more seamlessly against the differential housing but also facilitate easy removal and tightening using a standard Allen key. These also incorporate magnets in each plug, effectively collecting the minute shavings commonly found in differential gear oil. Each kit caters to a single axle, so if you're working on both front and rear axles, consider purchasing two kits.
It's essential to have a 10mm Hex bit on hand for installation.
Please note that these steel washers are specifically designed for use with steel axle housings. In cases where the drain plug is the same for the transfer plug, it's crucial to employ an aluminum washer when utilizing these plugs with any aluminum-bodied component. Ensure proper torque to 39ft lb for optimal performance and longevity.
